COVID-19 OPERATIONS UPDATE: We have aligned with the state’s “Beyond the Blueprint” guidelines regarding capacity limits and social distancing. Under this new guidance, trains will once again operate at full capacity without six feet of distance between passengers. Roaring Camp recommends that guests wear masks while on the train.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. The health and safety of our guests and our staff is our utmost priority. With that in mind, the following protocols have been put in place:

Enhanced Cleaning and Sanitation: We will build upon our existing standards of cleaning with heightened protocols.

What are your hours of operation?
Gates open at 9:00 a.m.
Parking closes at 5:00 p.m., unless trains are operating.
We stay open until the last guest has left, typically around 5:30 p.m.

What are your admission prices?

Is there a charge for parking?
YES $10/ vehicle

Do you have Annual Passes?
YES – Annual Passes

Note: Annual Pass tickets are not valid for special events.

Is there a price for just visiting the park, not including the trains?
NO, Admission to the grounds (not the park) is free except during special events.

Do you offer a family pass?
NO

Do you have wheelchairs/motorized carts?
Yes, we do have wheelchairs available for rent at the ticket office.

Are pets allowed aboard the Roaring Camp Redwood Forest Train?
YES, please be aware of noise sensitivities.

Are pets allowed aboard the Santa Cruz, Big Trees & Pacific Railway?
YES, please be aware of noise sensitivities.

Can I bring my RV to the park?
YES, but not overnight.

Is there public transportation to the park?
Santa Cruz Metro Transit Route 35 stops at Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park and Felton Covered Bridge a short walk from Roaring Camp. Taxis from Santa Cruz also visit.

Do you offer a AAA discount?
NO. From time-to-time, we place advertising in tourist publications such as AAA magazines and will offer a limited discount offer, but we are not authorized by AAA to offer a AAA Show Your Card and Save Discount.

Do you accept credit cards?
Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express & ATM cards.

Do you have lockers?
NO

Are there picnic areas inside the park?
YES – Picnic tables are available for all day rental at a cost of $25 per table. Inquire with ticket office day of or call 831 335.4484 for advance reservations.
